2022 in Review

Wow!! What a year!!

We had a very successful year and we learned a lot. Probably could have sold double of what we grew, and for that we are very thankful. We learned some new processes and will apply them in 2023.

We are asking for input from all our great patrons to help us plan for next year. If you know that you will come back for more great veggies next year please please please tell us before spring so that we can ensure there will be an ample supply. If there is something you would like us to grow next year, dito, please inform us so that we can accommodate you. This is not a commitment from you by any means, just your wish list that will help us to make sure that we have an idea for the quantities needed for next year.

A simple Email will suffice. conangarden1@gmail.com

We look forward to visiting with all of you in the new year and hope for a great growing season.

Update October 1st 2022

Been a long time since the last post. Been busy trying to make our acreage functional but now things are starting to come together.

First of all we would like to thank all people who have dealt with us in the past 2 years and we want to express our sincerest appreciation for your support in this endeavor.

Now, moving on, we are beginning to get some processes in place in order to reduce the amount of work needed to produce our garden products and each year we are learning new ways to be more efficient. At first we did a lot of work and with limited results, now with the help of certain equipment purchases we have substantially reduced the work load. We have some new ideas for next year that should better serve us to cut some more of that work load.

That being said, we thought we would update you on what’s left for this year:

We still have carrots, tomatoes, lots of potatoes, onions, pumpkins, and a few squash. We are sold out of corn.

We would like to emphasize to all of you, that even though we are not certified organic that we have never used any chemical in this garden “not ever”. That however requires a lot of rototilling in order to keep those pesky weeds away, and a lot of on your hands and knees weed plucking. So far we think it therapeutic, and we hope that that never gets old. Many of the new processes that we have adopted are ways to reduce the weeding needed.

Again we want to thank you for your patronage in the past and look forward to serving you in the future.

PS: If there are any vegetables that you would like next year, that we didn’t grow this year Please Please Please let us know before planting time next year so that we can give that a go!

Sincerely:

Frank & Joanne
