Bugs Bunny would love this carrot, and so should you. Here’s a long, fine-grained carrot that is nearly core-less. A rich orange color, it is delicious raw, cooked, or frozen. Like other carrots, it is rich in food value and stores well.
- Seed Depth: 1/4″ (6mm)
- Seed Spacing: 1/2″ (12mm)
- Row Spacing: 12-15″ (30-38cm)
- Days to Sprout: 12-18
- Plant Spacing: 1-2″ (2.5-5cm)

Plant: Seeds are tiny and should be sown directly in the garden beginning early in the spring with just enough soil to anchor them. Loose fertile soil is best. Successive plantings can be made every 2-3 weeks.
Care: Keep moist, and don’t allow soil to crust before seedlings emerge. Thin young seedlings, and fertilize when 3″ (7.5cm) tall.
Harvest: Pull when carrots are sufficient size and color.
